History

Planet's Original Use

The planet of soulsteam was originally called Luxury e12. This planet was designed to build luxury items for the people of the Holy Collaborative. The Holy Collaborative was a multi- universal empire that revered ancient organic life and refused to use non-human intelligence. Instead they produced humans and converted their information to soulsteam to control their machines.

Destruction

The Holy Collaborative was at war with another multi-universal empire. This empire used a Multiverse concept called the Sub-Universal to communicate and control their machines. This concept used the consistency of the multiverse to calculate equations instantaneously across the multiverse.

During the war, the Holy Collaborative used a weapon called a Law Shift Strike across multiple universes simultaneously. The device shut off laws of reality, instantly removing suns and black holes that were caught in it. This interfered with the Sub-Universal and allowed the Holy Collaborative to gain the upper hand.

Reconstruction

Luxury e12 was caught in the blast, but after a few thousand years, the forge planets in the system were able to reconstruct the Sun. This later allowed the clone engines on Luxury e12 to start up again and start producing humans. While many early humans didn’t make it, some were eventually able to set up colonies around what is now the nation of Dine, thanks to the abundant natural food sources.

Time of Dispersal

The people who emerged were able to spread out from their starting home, and find other sources of food on the desolate metal planet surface. Clones who emerged from the planet at this time were much more likely to survive thanks to the numerous human settlements.

Time of Separation

However, the soulsteam mist began to emerge from the planet in greater quantity, separating the colonies that had to head to higher ground to survive. During this time the many nations began to develop different cultures and magic systems unique to them.

Current Age: Time of Reunion

The current day is 150 years into the time of reunion. This age saw the mists subside slightly as well as the development of mist clearing technologies. As the mists cleared the many nations that had been separated from each other for hundreds of years were able to interact once more. This led to previously unseen levels of migration and conflict. What the future now holds is yet to be seen.
